Pastor Cofield discusses the assault by police officers of HPD against 15-year old Chad Halley, how he is fighting for justice for Chad, and how this assault led to HB 1471 being introduced by Texas House Representative Boris Miles. HB 1471 would increase the penalty for official oppression to either a 3rd or 2nd degree felony depending on the extent of bodily injury. Pastor Cofield and hosts discuss remedies such as filing criminal charges for aggravated assault against the officers, which is a 1st degree felony.
