Tonight Tom’s guest was Jeremy Brunger, a writer and soon to be graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Tom invited Jeremy on the program to discuss his recent article entitled The Poverty Machine: Student Debt, Class Society, and Securing Bonded Labor to discuss the changes in the American university system over the last 75 years and in particular the point at where we have arrived today with students graduating with $100,000 dollars of debt and in many cases much more. Jeremy’s point of view is not only historically well informed but he brings his own personal experience and that of his fellow students who are going through this odious turn in the culture of our universities.
